An architectural marvel, the Valiazheekkal Bridge connects Alappuzha with Kollam. Inspired by the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco; the Valiazheekkal Bridge has been designed with three Bow String Arches and is painted with international Orange and Cream colours. It’s being touted as the Longest Bow Bridge in South Asia with 1.216 km length and 13.20 m width. The Bridge offers a spectacular view of the confluence of the Arabian Sea and the Lake, and has wide footpaths that afford magnificent views of the sunset. It’s sure to become one of the must-see destinations for the global tourists visiting the God’s Own Country.

When it comes to building a massive bridge, that too across the lake, the most challenging and demanding job is the construction of the pile foundation. The entire piling work for the project was done by one of India’s most trusted piling foundation specialists; Avance Engineering and Infrastructures.
